I am so glad you have decided to view our Dakota County United Methodist Parish website! As the pastor of Dakota City UMC; Homer UMC; and St Paul, South Sioux City UMC—welcome!

I remember years ago when I was looking for a church home for my family, I found assistance in a church website (even back then!). It is important to attend where you feel welcome; your spiritual needs are met; and where you feel God’s presence. I believe you will find all of this at our parish churches.

I believe in preaching the Word of God in a way that is relevant to our world and our daily needs. I welcome questions about faith; am delighted to sit and speak with you about your family, your spiritual journey, and your continued growth; and I’m always willing to buy you a cup of coffee to just relax and chat.

I grew up in Northern California and am “new” to the Midwest (as of July 2023). I have 3 adult children (two live in the Omaha area and one lives in Idaho). I am a country girl at heart who loves the Lord above all else; am devoted to my family; enjoy the great outdoors; and have an adventurous spirit.

Kathy is the Dakota County UM Parish Office Assistant. As well as being in the parish office she enjoys helping with a variety of projects within the Parish churches. She grew up in the St Paul UMC church family and is now a member of the Dakota City UMC.
